PCS Student Workshop “A Social Justice Organizing Tapestry: From Police Reform to Worker’s Rights”

The term “organizing” has inspired new momentum as people search for ways to pursue social justice against many forms of institutionalized oppression-Black Lives Matter, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights among others.  Though organizing has always been a part of strategies for change, the tactics and outcomes are often not addressed or formalized within the contest of a campaign.  please join us for a panel presentation of different social justice campaign models, each employing different tactics and varying levels of successes and/or implementation outcomes.  Our discussion will also highlight these organizing initiatives as an art form open to us all as extension of our commitment, creativity and self-reflection about our role in society.  Co-sponsored by the NYCLU.
