Fordham Westchester is pleased to announced a conference entitled “Practice Across the Lifespan: Intergenerational Work in Action.” This conference will highlight intergenerational initiatives that are used to enhance the lives of children, youth and older adults. Some of the innovative programs will include mentoring, models, grandparents raising grandchildren, health telecommunication between generations, intergenerational adult and child daycare programs, and other new projects.
The conference is sponsored by the Fordham University Children and Families Institute in Research, Support and Training; Fordham University Ravazzin Center on Aging; New York State Intergenerational Network (NYSIgN): Westchester Chapter; and Westchester County Livable Community Intergenerational Collaborative.
The conference will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2106 from 11:30am-4:00pm on the Fordham Westchester campus. Registration fee is $25.00. Registration for Fordham students is free. Four (4) Continuing Education Hours (CEH) are available for LMSW/LCSW Licensing.
