The Office of Campus Ministry and the Fordham Alumni Chapter of Westchester are sponsoring their annual Thanksgiving food drive beginning November 5 through November 20. This year, there are two ways to donate:
- Consider making a monetary donation, which allows flexibility in providing whatever our neighbors need most–whether that is a turkey, fresh fruit, vegetables, or other foods. A monetary donation will help make an immediate impact on their lives and warm their hearts for the holiday season.
- If you prefer making a food donation, the following items are needed most: Rice, Beans, Pasta, Tomato Sauce, Tuna, Canned Vegetables (low, Reduced or NO Sodium Added), Canned Fruit (100% Fruit Juice), Cereal, Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Cooking Oil, Granola, Breakfast Bars, Nuts, Salsa.
Food and money collected will be donated to The Carver Center in Port Chester, NY. To donate, please drop off your food items in the marked boxes in the lobby of Fordham Westchester. Monetary donations can be dropped off to either Joan Cavanagh (Room 133) or Grant Grastorf (Room 147). You can also donate directly to The Carver Center. All gifts, no matter the amount, are meaningful and greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
